Drone weddings & events in Lyon

Free quote — weddings & events in Lyon

In Lyon, the banks of the Rhône and the Saône host receptions and photo sessions: the drone follows the procession along the water, captures the venue in its setting and the whole party in one frame. From the town centre to the business parks, the pilots covering Lyon and its department (69) match equipment and flight plan to each order.

Local demand is driven by a powerful economy: headquarters and laboratories of the chemical valley (Seveso sites, no overflight without agreement), Part-Dieu and Gerland construction projects, commercial real estate, nearby vineyards (Beaujolais, Côtes du Rhône) and a UNESCO-listed heritage — Vieux-Lyon, Fourvière — much in demand for tourism and film work. Greater Lyon sits under the CTR of Lyon-Bron business airport, right next to the city, and is bordered to the east by the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry CTR: almost all urban flights happen at reduced height after coordination with air navigation services.

The airspace context in Lyon

If your venue sits under controlled airspace (CTR de Lyon-Bron), the pilot agrees heights and slots with air traffic control beforehand: the big-day flight is secured without changing your schedule.

Event drone work is flown without overflying gathered people: flights around the event's edges, open category on clear private grounds, with a specific-category declaration if the venue is in a populated area. Full regulations and rates: weddings & events across France →

Frequently asked questions

Weddings & events in Lyon: what budget should you plan?

Allow €400–1,500 per day — the 2026 French market range, including regulatory preparation, flight and delivery. In Lyon, coordination with the local airspace is included in the quote and arranged within a few days.

Can the drone fly over our ceremony in Lyon?

Not directly above the guests — regulations forbid it — but all around: arrivals, a group photo at a safe distance, the venue in its landscape. Around Lyon, outdoor settings with a view (Vieux-Lyon, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes estates) suit it beautifully.

What if it rains on the wedding day?

Our drones do not fly in rain. If weather prevents flying, we offer to reschedule the aerial part (a couple session at the venue on another date) or refund the drone portion of the package.
