Drone precision agriculture in Angers

Free quote — precision agriculture in Angers

Valley market gardens, hillside cereals: around Angers, growing conditions change from one plot to the next. The drone maps them objectively, from sowing to harvest. With 155,850 inhabitants, Angers generates steady demand in Pays de la Loire: a pilot covering the area prices your mission within one working day.

Angers' airspace is moderately constrained: the Angers-Marcé airfield lies some twenty kilometres north-east, away from the city, and only the disused Avrillé airfield recalls the local aviation past. The dense historic centre around the castle falls under the built-up-area scenario with notification to the Maine-et-Loire prefecture, and river traffic on the Maine deserves attention in season. The market leans on plants — Angers is France's horticulture capital with the Végépolys cluster, a big buyer of multispectral imagery — plus real estate in a city regularly ranked first for quality of life, the UNESCO Loire Valley heritage downstream, and the Anjou and Savennières vineyards a short drive away.

Airspace and formalities in Angers

Some plots around Angers fall under controlled airspace (Aérodrome d'Angers-Marcé au nord-est): agricultural flights remain possible there at low height after a protocol, with no impact on map quality.

Agricultural flights use the open category over the farm's own plots, away from third parties; drone spraying remains under a strict experimental framework in France — we only provide imagery and diagnostics. Full regulations and rates: precision agriculture across France →

Frequently asked questions

Precision agriculture in Angers: what budget should you plan?

Allow €8–30 per hectare — the 2026 French market range, including regulatory preparation, flight and delivery. In Angers, coordination with the local airspace is included in the quote and arranged within a few days.

What does the drone see that I cannot from the edge of my field near Angers?

Multispectral imagery measures canopy reflectance: it reveals nitrogen or water stress one to two weeks before it becomes visible to the eye. On Pays de la Loire farms, that converts into prescription maps your equipment can use directly.

Are the application maps compatible with my equipment?

Yes: we export to ISOXML and shapefile formats read by John Deere, Trimble, Raven and Kuhn consoles and most ISOBUS terminals, as well as to common agronomy platforms.
